Office virtualized

IUanyWare lets you use a browser to run a desktop version of Microsoft Office without having to install it on your computer or mobile device. For help, see Set up and use IUanyWare.

IUanyWare's versions of Microsoft Office are 32-bit desktop installations. You can get 64-bit versions from Office 365 and IUware.

Office Mobile apps

Office Mobile apps are scaled-down, touch-optimized versions of Office applications available for most smartphones and tablets, including iOS and Android devices. The Office Mobile apps include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.

Office Mobile apps are free and can be downloaded directly from your device's app store. You can sign into Office Mobile apps using your IU Office 365 account, which lets you access OneDrive storage space.

To sign in with your IU Office 365 account after installing an Office Mobile app, open the app, and then, when prompted for an email address, enter your IU username followed by @iu.edu (for example, username@iu.edu).

Office Online

Office Online lets you create and edit files using lightweight, browser-based versions of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Office Online apps are available through Office 365, and as integrated solutions within IU's SharePoint and Box services.

For more about Box for Office Online support, see About Box for Office Online.

Office Online apps have features such as real-time co-authoring and autosaving. Some limitations include a lack of add-ons and macro support.
