Microsoft Word Preferences Mac Delete Crashing

I use track changes all the time on MS Word on my Mac and it normally works fine. Also you say this is reproducible behaviour on different files so it is clearly something to do with your specific installation.

To partly recover the document you have been working on, try printing out the screen. After that, try force-quitting the application by using the Command-Option-Esc shortcut. When the Force Quit window appears, select the app you want to abort and press Force Quit.

ISSUE
After upgrading to Catalina (OSX 15.0), Word crashes when creating or opening a doc. This is an issue caused by the WordRake add-in.
